Dung môi tách vàng từ rác thải điện tử
Theo nghiên cứu, các nhà khoa học Canada đã sử dụng hóa chất thí nghiệm để nghiên cứu và tìm ra dung môi tách vàng từ rác thải điện tử. Dung môi này có khả năng hòa tan vàng trong rác thải điện tử rất nhanh, giúp tăng hiệu quả cho quá trình tái chế.
Kỹ thuật tách vàng từ linh kiện điện tử
Việc tách vàng từ mạch điện tử chỉ kéo dài khoảng 10 giây, tốc độ nhanh nhất từ trước tới nay. Để tách một kilogram vàng từ bảng mạch điện tử, phương pháp truyền thống tiêu tốn 5.000 lít aqua regia, hỗn hợp giữa axit nitric và axit clohydric. Với phương pháp mới, các nhà nghiên cứu chỉ cần dùng 100 lít dung môi do họ tạo ra. Lượng dung môi cần thiết để tách một kilogram vàng chỉ có giá 50 USD và có thể tái sử dụng liên tục.
Nhờ rẻ hơn, nhanh hơn và an toàn hơn, dung môi do Foley và đồng nghiệp phát triển có thể cách mạng hóa quá trình tách vàng. Ở bước tiếp theo, các nhà nghiên cứu sẽ tìm cách đưa dung môi vào ứng dụng trên quy mô lớn để tái chế vàng.
